It's also simple to install and use, with the app guiding you through the process step-by-step. Another feature that is impressive is its ability to return to the spot where it began in our tests. It did this for 77 minutes in one cleaning before running out of battery.
The i3+ EVO is different from the other robot vacuums we have tested, has a self emptying bin that automatically dumps debris into an external dirt compartment on the base of its charging once it is fully filled. This makes it easier to maintain the unit and also helps prevent the i3+ EVO from overfilling, however it still needs to be manually emptied after every cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's built-in dust bin holds 2.4L of debris, which is enough to last several cleaning sessions before you have to replace it.
The i3+ EVO, just like the i7 uses state-ofthe-art floor-tracking sensors to create maps. It can also allow you to navigate in neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only keep one map, whereas the i7 can store multiple. The i7's map is used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones but not for the i3+ EVO.
While the i3+ EVO is superior at picking up dirt and debris from surfaces than the other robovacs we review ed but it's not the best for cleaning edges and corners. It's also less gentle on furniture, despite being fairly silent. It was quite rough on furniture as it forced chairs away. It also made some collisions against the sides of the test bed.
2. Black & Decker Pro Q5
The Q5 Pro is an excellent choice, whether you are expanding your robot vacuum collection or are just beginning to get started. It packs powerful power, advanced navigation and easy automation into a sleek and stylish design for a reasonable price. It's the most efficient pound-for pound model currently available and even beats some of Roborock's more expensive models in a variety of ways.
This robot does a fantastic job cleaning bare floors and its avoidance technology helps it steer clear of furniture legs and other obstacles. It also does well on carpets and gets a high score in our navigation tests. The only drawback is that it's a little noisier than many other models we test, and it doesn't fare similarly in our user satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.
The Q5 Pro has a very large dust bin of 770ml which means you don't have to empty it as often as other 2-in-1 robots. The Q5 Pro's 240-minute running time is also generous when compared to other 2-in-1 robots that we tested. If the battery is empty, it returns to its dock and recharges before resuming cleaning where it stopped. You can manage the Q5 Pro using the app or voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
This is the first robot we've seen that has 3D mapping. This, along with other innovations has helped it perform exceptionally well in our tests of vacuuming and mopping tests. You can schedule cleanings, set no-go zones, and check the battery's condition among other things. The app is simple to use, however it isn't compatible with Apple HomeKit. This feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. As of the beginning of November, Apple has updated a footnote on its website to indicate that this feature is delayed until 2025. HomeKit isn't compatible with other robots, but Siri Shortcuts are.

The base station is well-designed, and automates cleaning to a large extent. It offers excellent obstacle avoidance and navigation.
This model uses an internal dToF LiDAR sensor to map your home and devise efficient cleaning routes. The iMop received high marks for its accuracy and navigation. It also did an excellent job of avoiding obstacles such as furniture. It's also able to return to the base station, which is a great benefit in the event that it runs out of battery during cleaning.
It also has a spot cleaning mode that allows you to clean or mop an area of your floor. It can also be programmed manually to follow a specific route. This is ideal for narrow stairs or hallways. In our carpet cleaning test it performed well cleaning carpets. However, it had a difficult time to clean carpets and rugs with thick piles. It is possible to set it up to lift the mop pad automatically whenever it comes in contact with carpet. This is an excellent feature for those who want to save the time of mopping their carpets.
The iMop has an onboard dust bin as well as a water tank which it is filled and refilled at the end of each cleaning session.
